Welcome! On this site, you will post your found poems created from choice phrases and words
from your reading of The Catcher in the Rye.
In a found poem, you use words/phrases/quotes from the novel to create a short poem. You can arrange the words in any order you like, and you do not need to create any original lines. You are FINDING your poem within the book.
Requirements & Instructions:
Click on "New Page" to create a new page for your poem.
The title of your page should be your name. You do not not need any tags, so leave that line blank.
Type your poem onto your new page (10 lines). Make sure you give your poem a title. Play around with the font and color to highlight important lines/phrases.
Upload an image related to The Catcher in the Rye to supplement your poem.
At the bottom of your poem, provide a literary analysis of your poem. This short analysis should be 5-7 sentences. In your analysis, explain why the phrases/lines that you selected for your found poem speak to the essence of the themes related to the novel.
Scoring:
You will receive 5 points for each line of your poem (total = 50 points).
You will receive 10 points for uploading an image related to your poem.
You will receive 40 points for your literary analysis.
TOTAL POSSIBLE POINTS FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT = 100 POINTS
