Sometimes I horse around quite a lot just to keep from getting bored.
And the minute I went in, I was sort of sorry I'd come in!
After I got across the road, I felt like I was sort of disappearing,
This time I thought I was really dying;
I was really frozen.
Everything was a very big deal,
That depressed me.
I said I wasn't blaming jesus or anything...
But finally I quit though. I pulled the peak around my back again, and relaxed.
Thats ALL I'm going to tell about.
My poem speaks to the theme of Holden's awkward feelings. At one point he will be really open with you about his feelings. Then in the next moment he will completely shut down and say he doesn't want to talk to you about it. He also has awkward dealings when it comes to others.
